Introduction

Learn how to set and change VAV settings for supply exhaust functionality

  1. Picture 1. Press Menu Button Picture 2. Press Advanced button to enter Advanced menu Pciture 3. Enter Admin Password Menu appears

    • Pciture 3. Enter Admin Password Menu appears

    • Use the numbers to enter 4 digit factory preset password. Number is being displayed in the blue ribbon

    • Press DEL button to delete incorrect number

    • Press OK to confirm input

  2. Picture 1. Press VAV button to enter VAV menu Picture 2. Shows VAV screen
    • Picture 1. Press VAV button to enter VAV menu

    • Picture 2. Shows VAV screen

    • Picture 2. Use Home button to return to Home Screen

    • Picture 2. Use Up button to return to Advanced MenuNew line.

  3. You can control only 1 VAV analog motor, in addition to reading supply flow from only 1 C35-FV Supply device and controlling  exhaust flow of only 1 Siemens BACnet VAV motor Supply VAV Vnom in m3/h: the manufacturer provided nominal flow of fully open VAV pipe you want to control
    • You can control only 1 VAV analog motor, in addition to reading supply flow from only 1 C35-FV Supply device and controlling exhaust flow of only 1 Siemens BACnet VAV motor

    • Supply VAV Vnom in m3/h: the manufacturer provided nominal flow of fully open VAV pipe you want to control

    • VAV control voltage: can be 0-10V or 2-10V. This value is dependent of the of VAV motor specification used, and should be set accordingly

    • Sum suppy flow ID: if you want to read the flow of another C35-FV device connected to the RS485 network, put the BACnet ID of that device here, and select Enabled option

    • Total supply flow in m3/h: this is the sum of the flow from this device and the flow from C35-FV device set in the SUM supply flow ID. Flow from this device is calculated by multiplying the Supply VAV Vnom with Analog Input AI1 percentage (details in Step 4)

    • Exhasut control: if Enabled this C35-FV device sends Exhaust flow output information over BACnet to the Siemens VAV motor ID set in the Exhaust VAV ID

    • Exhaust VAV ID: the BACnet ID of the VAV engine device (Siemens) you want to use to control Exhaust output. Press Settings button to enter Menu for Siemens VAV Exhaust motor. Not visible if Exhaust control is ''Disabled" (Picture 2.)

  4. Supply VAV Vnom: Press +, - or value buttons to input a value between 0 and 100000 Picture 2. Analog Input (AI1) MUST be set as VAV actuator position. Press Save  when setting Picture 1.  If the Exhaust Control is disabled, then Total supply flow is the sum of Supply VAV Vnom multiplied by percentage in Analog input AI1 value (Picture 3.)
    • Supply VAV Vnom: Press +, - or value buttons to input a value between 0 and 100000

    • Picture 2. Analog Input (AI1) MUST be set as VAV actuator position. Press Save when setting

    • Picture 1. If the Exhaust Control is disabled, then Total supply flow is the sum of Supply VAV Vnom multiplied by percentage in Analog input AI1 value (Picture 3.)

    • Picture 1. If the Exhaust Control is enabled , then Total supply flow is the sum of Supply VAV Vnom multiplied by percentage in Analog input AI1 value (Picture 3.) and the Total supply flow of another C35-FV with the address set in Exhaust VAV ID

    • This other C35-FV must be connected through RS485 to this C35-FV

  5. To turn on the Exhaust Control functionality, set the Exhaust Control variable to Enabled Set the ID of the Exhaust device, usually the BACNet VAV motor BACnet VAV motor must be connected to this C35-FV device by RS485
    • To turn on the Exhaust Control functionality, set the Exhaust Control variable to Enabled

    • Set the ID of the Exhaust device, usually the BACNet VAV motor

    • BACnet VAV motor must be connected to this C35-FV device by RS485

    • Press Settings to enter the options of the BACnet VAV motor device (Picture 2.)

    • Picture 2. and Picture 3. Set various options such as Vnominal flow, units etc.

    • For current use set: Min flow 0; Max flow 100; Unit m3/h; Altitude level 500; Override control Off; Opening direction Normal CW; Positioning ABS Position; Bus termination Off
